This location leaned fully into the joke everyone already knows: when a retailer dies, Spirit appears. The purple carcass of Party City still clung to the exterior, while Spirit Christmas decals were simply layered on top. The effect felt hyper-meta; a retail meme made real. But inside was a cultural mecca, with racks and displays packed with Christmas nostalgia the hordes of shoppers were undoubtedly hungry for.
